REDBIRDS RALLY LATE TO TAKE DOWN FIRST PLACE BUCKS

PLATTSBURGH, NY – The Plattsburgh RedBirds took tonights game from the first place New York Bucks after failing to get the first hit until the 6th inning.

The RedBirds were down 4-0 to start off the game as Bucks starter Carl Brice was cruising through  RedBirds batters through 3 innings. But Anthony Wiggins was right there fighting along with him going for 6 strong innings.

The Bucks had a 4-1 lead going into the bottom of the 5th inning when a couple of RedBirds walked and would move over on passed ball and would both end up scoring on a big two out error in the infield to make it a 4-3 game.

In the 7th inning, Carl Brice walked a couple more RedBirds and would exit the game after tossing a solid  6.2 innings with given up just 2 earned runs  and striking out 5 batters.  However, clutch hitting by Raul Shah and Michael Deeb woud tie the game and take the lead 6-4 and thats how the game would end as the RedBirds defeated the Bucks by the score of 6-4.

Carl Brice would be handed the Loss while Cody Pamperin who came in to relief in the 7th would take the win with Damian Boyum earning the save.

There was not much offense in this one as The Bucks had a total of 6 hits and the RedBirds had  4. It was the defensive errors that would make a difference as the Bucks ended with 4 errors and the RedBirds ended with 3.

Both teams will meet again tomorrow afternoon at 4:30pm for the third game of the series in Plattsburgh.
